Check out the entries below, then leave some feedback in the comments if you feel so inclined. (ENTRANTS, PLEASE REMEMBER TO CRITIQUE AT LEAST THREE OTHER ENTRIES!) And I'm sure this goes without saying, but please keep your comments constructive (i.e., not rude or mean-spirited). If you want to think like The Agent, you might consider the question, "If you were an agent, would you request more of this entry?"
I'll announce Ms. Johnson-Blalock's winners and prizes at the beginning of next week, but until then, have at it!
(For your information, I take out profanity when I'm formatting the entries, so if you notice any asterisks, they're my asterisks, not the entrants'. Also, entrants, if you find a Krista-generated error in your post, feel free to shoot me an e-mail, and I'll correct it straightaway.)

Thanks for hosting this, Krista! What a great opportunity!
Dear Krista,
Thank you very much for selecting my query for review. A learning experience indeed, no matter the turnout. Your job is no walk in the park, by any means.
In response to the comment about a publisher being hard pressed to turn over a cash prize, we do have a plan, and it is posted on our website in detail, www.HarryHidIt.com
Sincerely,
JJM
You're so welcome, Valerie and JJM. Thank YOU for all of your critiques and comments!
Krista, thanks so much for hosting this event. I learned a lot from the comments, especially from the input I received from Jennifer Johnson-Blalock. I will set to work tomorrow to begin drastically reducing my word count. I've had mixed input on what agents want in a Query letter. Some are minimalists, but I see that Ms. Johnson-Blalock likes more detail. I will definitely work on that as well. From Pat
