Third Submission Window Will Open at Noon EDT!

Note to all writers planning to try for a slot: You must COPY AND PASTE your blog address from the URL bar when you sign up for "The Writer's Voice." Otherwise, the widget might kick you out.

Also, since the widget is pulling from more than one blog at once, the blogfest numbers won't settle for a few minutes. Please refresh the blog ten or fifteen minutes after the window opens to see what your final number is (and whether you made it in).

Please note that WE’RE ONLY ACCEPTING 25 MORE ENTRIES (STOPPING AT ENTRY #200) IN THE THIRD SUBMISSION WINDOW. We're closing the widget at 200 entries, so if it goes over 200, WE WILL DELETE THE ADDITIONAL ENTRIES and notify everyone via Twitter when the contest is full. Once you secure your slot in the widget, please check out Wednesday's post for specific instructions on how to post your entry and e-mail it to us

To enter "The Writer's Voice," sign up on the widget below at 12:00 noon EDT. Please remember to REFRESH THE PAGE AT NOON to make the widget work.

Mister Linky's Magical Widgets -- Easy-Linky widget will appear right here!
This preview will disappear when the widget is displayed on your site.

Note to everyone: Sometimes the widget shows up UNDER the list of names when you refresh. Keep your eyes open.

Thanks for a great contest!

Finally, Mister Linky likes me! This time I made it in, for real. #197 (thanks to my non-internet savvy mother for suggesting I use a shortened version of my name.) Thank you so much, Krista, for the extra 25! :)

Hi Krista, I sent an email last night, but never received a confirmation email. Should I resend? Thanks, Emily (#80)

You guys are so nice to give your time like this... I wish I could read all the entries, but I will at least be checking back to see the teams and how it goes from there. Good luck everyone!

I have a stupid question. (Right, I know, there are no stupid questions) But my name looks bolded when I pull up the widget on any page, is that just because it knows it's me, or was I a dweeb and entered my name bolded? Because I sure didn't mean to and don't want to seem all 'hey look at me.'

Krista Van Dolzer said...

Jaye, your name isn't bolded when I pull up the widget, so I suspect it's like you said--the widget knows it's you. I have noticed that sometimes the entries are different colors when I look at them, but I think that's because they're showing up as clicked or non-clicked links. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I wouldn't worry about it:)

Thanks Krista!

I read in another comment section that there is supposed to be an automated response to the email we send. Is this correct? I didn't get one. Should I resend?

Thanks.

Emily, I sent you an e-mail earlier today. We did get your entry and will review it shortly.

Leslie, you should have received an automated response, but the entries that landed in the spam folder first often didn't. I'm off to check for your entry now. I'll send you an e-mail if I find it...

Krista- Just got your email. Thanks so much. I appreciate (and am amazed by) how awesome you are at responding to everyone's comments.

Thanks so much.

Reading these comments I realized that we also did not get a confirmation email. The first round wa so intense we forgot to look for one. Would you mind making sure you received our entry too? Thanks!

Another great opportunity for your readers...

Snowmen Write, I sent you an e-mail from TheWritersVoiceContest(at)gmail(dot)com address on Saturday. Hopefully, you got it, but if you didn't, we did receive your entry!

And thanks for everyone's kind words. This contest has been a lot of work, but it's also been a lot of fun--and it's only going to get better:)

Wow, Matthew. Good for you! (And thanks for supporting and promoting the contest.)

I also never got a confirmation e-mail after sending my entry, and I also checked my spam folder. My entry is #168.

Krista Van Dolzer said...

I'll go and look for it now, Carrie-Anne! (And just so you know, I used the widget to read all the entries, so if your link in the widget worked, I did review your entry.)
