Boy, am I glad I did.
Not only did her blog introduce me to UNTRACEABLE, a YA wilderness thriller (which is
available in both paperback and e-book formats), but I also learned a great
deal about her journey to publication via a guest post she did on Shannon O’Donnell’s
blog. And guys, her journey was INSPIRING--but probably not in the way you’d expect.
Check out that guest post, then do what I did and go and buy
her book. I NEVER buy books I haven’t received at least five recommendations
for (or already read myself), so this is kind of a first for me. But if anybody
deserves my support and hard-earned cash, it’s Shelli.
Happy Friday!

I bought it right after I read her story.
Aw thx krista for ur support. I really appreciate it. U r so sweet!
Liesl, I think her story stood out to me because I can see myself being there someday (or being stuck here forever). I admire a writer who has the skill set to reach that many milestones on the path to traditional publication but simply lacks the luck needed to reach that finish line. I love how she took the bull by the horns and struck out on her own (if I may use so many cliches in one sentence).
You're more than welcome, Shelli. It's my pleasure.
Thanks for sharing this, I'm definitely going to buy it!!!
Thanks for this post, Krista! I saw on twitter that this author is willing to give query or market critiques if people who buy the book email her a copy of their receipt. Isn't that nice?
On my way now to read her story.... :)
Yay, Cortney!
Amy, I saw your RT! That is nice!
I'm really excited for Shelli! Her blog explains a lot about her marketing efforts and expertise- If I felt a little more confidant about marketing, I'd be seriously considering e pubbing. Only really considering it right now;)
Kelly, Shelli does seem to have the perfect combination of writing prowess and marketing expertise to really make a go of e-publishing, doesn't she? She's doing a marketing series on Kate Schafer Testerman's blog over the next few days, so you should definitely check that out.
