THE SOUND OF LIFE AND EVERYTHING's Cover

What's THE SOUND OF LIFE AND EVERYTHING? Steve's official title! And since I'm sure you hate scrolling as much as I do, let's just cut to the chase:

Hats off to Rose Wong, whose amazing artwork will stretch end-to-end on the final jacket (which I've included at the bottom of this post). She did a great job of capturing the story's essence. And hats off to Shauna for the awesome new title, but then, we're not surprised I couldn't come up with one, are we? :)

I'm sure I'll host an ARC giveaway--or two or three--at some point in the future, but if you've ever wanted to say thank you for anything you've found on the blog, a great way to do it would be to pre-order Steve and/or add him on Goodreads. It feels weird to type that, so I'm going to leave it right there, but just in case you are interested, here are the sales links:

*whistles, walks away*

It's been a while since I've blogged about Steve, so if you have any questions about where he's at (or where he's been), feel free to lay them on me!

  1. What a great cover! You must be thrilled. I love the way there are both similarities and differences between the two lines of houses. And the title sets off well against the yellow background. I find font choice very interesting and I really like the one they used on your title (which is a really cool new title!)

  4. Julie, I've been paying more attention to title fonts lately, and I agree that this one was a great choice. In addition to standing out against the background, it also stands out against the more serious illustrations. It's a nice combination.

Thanks, Marisa! And I know it's a ways off, but I'm looking forward to seeing yours.

    THANK YOU, JESSIE!

Thanks, Kristin! I think it turned out rather well:)

  7. Ooh, Krista, it's fantastic. I love the colors, the font, the title--everything. (And I totally just had to turn my laptop upside down to look at the top part. :) ) I will absolutely be preordering from my local indie as soon as they allow it!

  10. Is that my aunt Jan?! Thanks for stopping by (and commenting)!

Heather! I've got family members coming out of the woodwork;) I think it's pretty awesome, too.

I turned my laptop upside down, too, Tara:) (And a present thanks for that future pre-order!)

That's one of the things I love about MG, Noelle--the illustrated covers! And I especially love how this one turned out:)

I'm a sucker for architecture, too, Leandra, which is one of the things I love about this cover. (And the old-fashioned department store on the back? That and Ella Mae's house are my two favorites.)
